A New World..20 Light Years Away Discovered by European Astronomers

A group of European Astronomers have declared they have identified the first Earth like planetwith temperatures mild enough to allow water in liquid form. And its only 20.5 light years away, so if & when humankind manages to travel at the speed of light it will take only 20 years to reach this New World. The temperature range of the planet may just be suitable for forming lakes & oceans, therby enabling life to flourish. Whether it already harbours life? No answers yet...
We will keep you posted about the latest developments in this space.

Silence Of the Lambs revisited

Cannibalism is now the buzzword allover the Indian media, as Noida’s Surendra Koli confessed during interrogation that he ate the body parts of 17 people after killing them. This incident seems straight out of the feature film Silence of the Lambs, as Surendra used to cut up the bodies and reach for the organs just like an expert butcher. This kind of shocking & horrific behavior if found true should be punished heavily and severely dealt with.

Bye Bye Shane Warne

Perhaps the greatest ever leg spinner to play the game of cricket bid farewell to the game and walked into the Hall Of Fame, after creating history recently, by becoming the first ever bowler to take more than 700 wickets in test cricket. Shane Warne, now 37 has played for 16 international seasons and had recently passed 1,000 international wickets in Sydney. He timed his retirement perfectly as Australian cricket team completed a whitewash over England by winning the Ashes 5-0. Shane Warne had great company in retirement as both Glenn McGrath and Justin Langer also retired from international test cricket on the same day. This is perhaps the most significant day in Australian cricket after the simultaneous departure of Greg Chappell, Dennis Lillee and Rod Marsh in 1984. From now on we won’t be having the delight of watching the two greats Warne and McGrath pulverizing the opposition with their magic spells.

India looses to South Africa in 3rd test

The Indian cricket team has done it again. From the brink of victory they managed to collapse in their 2nd innings and gave South Africa a modest total of 211 to chase in the 2nd innings. South Africa did it in style, loosing only 5 wickets, on a rain interrupted 5th day of the 3rd test. Rahul Dravid must be a worried man now with his team returning from South Africa with only 1 test win and a series of one day and test match losses.
